Anacortes Arts Festival 2018


The 57th Annual Anacortes Arts Festival is one of the oldest and largest arts festivals in the Northwest. Filling the historic downtown Anacortes, it consists of ten blocks of booth artisans from around the country, three stages with live music, and a regional Fine Art Exhibition. There is also a Working Studios area including body painting, blacksmithing, live art demonstrations and more. Food trucks and vendors offer culinary treats including seafood, regional and ethnic dishes and goodies. There will be three beer gardens pouring microbrews, Northwest wine and cocktails. The festival activities also include an active Kids Area and Art Dash, certified in half marathon, 10k or 5k.

This is a FREE event recommended for the whole family with tons of activities!

The Anacortes Arts Festival is celebrating its 51st year!

The Anacortes Arts Festival has grown over the past 50 years to include 250 talented street artisans spanning across¬† Anacortes’¬† historic downtown, all the way from 4th Street to 10th Street! Artisans will feature paintings, jewelry, basketry, candles, food products, sculpture, wearable art, furniture and much more.

You can also enjoy over 30 different food vendors offering many great selections to choose from.  The  Beer Garden will be located on 3rd Street and a new additions this year will be the Wine Garden at 8th Street.

The Anacortes Arts Festival is fun for all ages!  Check out the Youth Discovery Area which combines activities for kids at the Interactive Tent where kids can interface with artists through music, dance, magic, drumming, juggling and theater works!

Make sure to stick around to see some of the performing arts that will be featured on one of three different stages during the day.

50th Anacortes Arts Festival

The Anacortes Arts Festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary!
August 5-7, 2011!

The Festival includes 250 booth artisans, two stages of free music, fine art at the Port, a demonstrating area for artists, regional and ethnic foods, and a great active youth area.  The festival will be open to all on Friday and Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from 10-5. 

You can be sure to find some kind of music to get your feet dancing too!  Types of music to include R&B, bluegrass, folk, world beat, rock, and everything in between. Musicians that will be performing are Prozac Mountain Boys, Little Bill and the Blue Notes, Mark Dufresne Bank, Bump Kitchen, and many more.  The main stage and Beer Garden are  open till 7:30 Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Arts at the Port Exhibition will showcase the Festival’s Permanent Collection which started in the 1960’s.¬† All artists are invited to participate in the Guerilla/Gorilla Area on Satuday and Sunday from 3rd Street¬†to the Port.¬†¬†There will be art demonstrating featuring steamroller block printing, chainsaw art, traditional forged metalwork, basketry, stone carving, painting, weaving, pottery and much¬†more.

The Anacortes Arts Festival is one of the largest and oldest events in the Northwest and is sure to be a great weekend.  Make sure to check it out!

2010 Anacortes Arts Festival

Don’t miss out on this years Arts Festival happening August 6th-8th.¬† Concerts will be held on August 6th and 7th at the Port of Anacortes.¬† The lineup includes a wide variety of musical talent, tickets available at the door are $15.¬† The heart of the Anacortes Art Festival features 250 artists stretching from 10th street north.¬† Music featured at the festival is expanding with a very diverse lineup that includes the whole range of musical traditions, there will be stages located on 3rd street, in the Majestic courtyard and at the Port.¬† There¬†will be a fun youth area, an area for artist demonstration, a very¬†wide span of delicious foods and a beer garden.¬† The Anacortes Art Festival will be a very fun weekend filled with¬†free entertainment, you can’t miss¬†it!

More than just three days

Beginning July 31st, the Festival kicks off a week of activities. Join these exciting pre-Festival activities at the Port of Anacortes warehouse on the north end of Commercial Avenue on the waterfront…

Friday, July 31st – Arts at the Port Fine Art Opening Event – 5:30 – 8 pm
Appetizers, wine, entertainment – Tickets $15.
Saturday, August 1stArt Dash,
half marathon, 10k, 5k run, starting at 9 am at City Hall, ending with drumming at the Port.
Saturday, August 1st – Kick-off of the Concerts at the Port series with a lively evening of music by The Duntons and Boulder Acoustic Society. Concerts at the Port continue throughout the week and during Festival weekend.
