Shipwreck Day in Anacortes! Saturday July 20th

If you are the type of person who enjoys garage sales and  thrift shopping, then lace up your tennis shoes and get ready to head to downtown Anacortes and enjoy the 34th annual Shipwreck Day tomorrow!

This Anacortes event started as a fisherman’s garage sale, and over the course of 33 years, it has become what it is today. It combines the best features of a garage sale, a flea market, and an antique store into one huge event that engulfs downtown Anacortes for one day every summer.

The event technically starts at 8 am, but there are usually some businesses and booths that get started right at first light, just like the old time fishermen used to. This event features over 200 vendors set up in booths along Commercial street, each booth brings something new and usually very eclectic, and you are sure to find something that you can’t live without. There are also many food stands set up that serve a variety of different and delicious treats. This  event it family friendly and is organized by the Fidalgo Island rotary club.

Just make sure that you aren’t late because it is all over at 4 pm!
